KINETIC TYPOLOGY (VISUAL EFFECT & POST PRODUCTION)

KINETIC TYPOLOGY

This is derived from a scene from Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End. One of my favorite scene from the movie that tells the tragic relationship between Davy Jones and Calypso. Davy Jones is a villain that I personally favors a lot due to his unique personality and backstory, he is more than just a normal villain.

1. Started by looking for a speech or conversation from any movies which I made up my mind to pick this specific scene from The Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End due to the impression it gave me.

2. Created a basic storyboard for this scene in Adobe Illustrator CC.
This is the initial version of the storyboard which I designed. However, as I explored deeper into Adobe After Effects CC, I found out a wider range to 'toy' with the directing and creating more dynamic effects for the scenes.

3. Created some basic objects such as The Davy Jones's Locket with Adobe Illustrator CC.

4. Entered the animating stage with Adobe After Effects CC.

The main process is to move the null (Parented to the camera) around while doing some slight animation for the words and sentences. Then adding some smoke effect into the frames to create the dynamic atmosphere.

5. Finally, I exported the file out and proceed to the final stage, which is putting the audio in via Adobe Premier Pro CC to finalize this project.
